Landing page or homepage: where should your ads point?

When you pay for a click, the page that loads decides whether that money turns into a booking. For ads, a page built for one offer usually makes more sense than your homepage.

A homepage is built to explain everything

Menus, links, the about page, the blog. That is right for someone who already knows you and wants to look around. For someone who just clicked an ad about an immunity drip, it is a lot of exits.

A landing page is built to do one thing

One offer, the same one the ad promised. The price, what is included, who comes to the door, real reviews and two buttons: book or call. No menu to wander off through.

Match the page to the search

The person searched for an immunity drip and clicked an ad about one. The page should open on that same drip, in the same words. Google also looks at your landing page experience when it judges your ads.

Track what happens next

Every tap on call, text, form or book should be counted, so you know which ads lead to real inquiries and which just spend money.

The short version

  • Homepages have many exits, landing pages have one
  • The page should match the ad word for word
  • Google judges your landing page experience
  • Track every call, text, form and booking
